About
I am a naturalist and social educator. I have worked at the intersection of nature and culture for more than 15 years.
I have been a National Geographic Explorer since 2019.
I launched and led ArgentiNat, Argentina's iNaturalist node, a citizen science platform developed within Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina.
I gave or took part in more than 50 workshops, talks, conferences and trainings across Argentina, for scientists, students, volunteers and park rangers.
In 2011 I founded COA Carancho, a group of volunteers who watch birds in Palermo, Buenos Aires.
I am a co-creator of Bioma, an art project: screen-printed posters of Argentina's ecoregions.
- Purpose
- To widen the way we look at what surrounds us. There is a complex world around us, and we tend to walk right past it.
- Vision
- To work with nature, culture and territory through science, art and education. You learn on site, by taking part.
Projects
-
ArgentiNat
Argentina's node of iNaturalist, a citizen science platform: anyone records what they see and the community identifies it. I launched it in November 2019 and led it. It was developed within Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina.

Bioma
An art project with Juan Elizalde and Gonzalo Roget. We are interested in artistic and graphic representations of nature, and we wanted to move a little away from hyperrealism. Each poster is illustrated by an artist from Argentina and represents one ecoregion. We screen-print 50 copies of each, printed by hand. It is a way of reclaiming craft. We want to bring nature closer to people who like art, and the other way around.

COA Carancho
A COA (Club de Observadores de Aves, a birdwatching club) is an initiative of the organization Aves Argentinas that brings together people interested in the nature of a place. In 2011 I founded COA Carancho, in the Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires; I coordinated it from 2013 to 2015 and was part of it until 2020. The Buenos Aires City Legislature declared it of environmental interest.
