About

I am a naturalist and social educator. I have worked at the intersection of nature and culture for more than 15 years.

I launched and led ArgentiNat, Argentina's iNaturalist node, a citizen science platform developed within Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina.

I gave or took part in more than 50 workshops, talks, conferences and trainings across Argentina, for scientists, students, volunteers and park rangers.

In 2011 I founded COA Carancho, a group of volunteers who watch birds in Palermo, Buenos Aires.

I am a co-creator of Bioma, an art project: screen-printed posters of Argentina's ecoregions.

Purpose: to enrich people's lives through natural history: to show that there is a wonderful world next to us and to widen the way we look at it. Vision: to work at the intersection of nature and culture (tourism, art and social sciences), with experience at the center.

Projects

  • ArgentiNat

Argentina's node of iNaturalist, a citizen science platform: anyone records what they see and the community identifies it. I launched it in November 2019 and led it. It was developed within Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina.

  • Bioma

An art project with Juan Elizalde and Gonzalo Roget. We are interested in artistic and graphic representations of nature, and we wanted to move a little away from hyperrealism. Each poster is illustrated by an artist from Argentina and represents one ecoregion. We screen-print 50 copies of each, printed by hand. It is a way of reclaiming craft. We want to bring nature closer to people who like art, and the other way around.

  • COA Carancho

A COA is a bird-watching club. This one is a group of volunteers who watch birds in Palermo, Buenos Aires, and also plant native trees, run bird censuses and give talks. I founded it in 2011, coordinated it from 2013 to 2015 and was part of it until 2020.
